Turnpike- Kidrobot Sculpture
Earlier this week I made it over the the Soho location of Kidrobot in New York City. The shop had all kinds of amazing art and really inspired me to step up my work.
I picked up three of the blank munny, dunny, figures and brought them home for future projects. Recently I created a new character called “Turnpike.” He is an eyeball cyborg tentacle alien that rides a futuristic speeder bike. I decided to create a version of him using the Foomi blank dunny.
Below are some concept drawings and the phases of the build. I am happy with how it turned out, but I definitely learned a lot about the creation process of these and am excited to create even better vinyl art in the future.
